Nosebleed
Monday, June 30, 2008,5:32 PM

Ito ang email na natanggap ko kanina sa HR officer ng dati kong kumpanya. Nosebleed. Hahaha!

"Good Day Sir.

Please be informed that we will going to submitt your name for approval of the management. And we will wait for the decision of the said approval. We will advise you once re-scheduling will resume.

Thanks."

Paki-translate nga. Ano daw?

Kamote.

Qui M'aime Me Suive
Sunday, June 22, 2008,10:20 PM

How far should someone go to pursue a dream?

That’s what this feel-good French film is all about. Though a bit popcornish, I find it very inspiring and thought provoking. I could actually see myself in the shoes of Maxime, the main character, in the next few years. Maybe when I turn 30 something, I will do a similar thing and decide to give up my career and pursue my dream, not to be a rockstar, but a nomadic writer. Oh, I so love the soundtrack! I tried googling and looking for it via torrent but unsuccessful. Argh.

If You Love Me Follow Me (Qui M’aime Me Suive) tells the story of Maxime, a surgeon in his 30s, who leads an orderly life with his lawyer wife. But after meeting Chine, a singer at a bar, Max decides to chuck his career and fulfill his teenage dream to become a rockstar. This decision drags everyone else into his escapade.

Case Digest/Poop
Saturday, June 21, 2008,12:07 AM

Facts/Fiction:
XXX, of legal age, made a decision to enter Camp B and play a game. Relying only to the unsolicited backing from his erpats, he took the military course without hesitation. Before leaving, he concocted a few ingredients: a pinch of vagueness, a spoon of appetite and a gallon of liquid dreams, then put everything inside a capsule and ate it. It gave him enermous strength. But someone, along the course, deceived him, a demon. It was Socrates. He made his life difficult and tortured him. XXX feared that continuing with the game would make his physical and mental state suffer so he immediately left and returned home.

Issue/Non-Issue:
Whether or not quitting is losing

Ruling/Charing:
XXX absolutely disagreed on this. A famous proverb says, “If you must play, decide on three things at the start: the rules of the game, the stakes, and the quitting time. XXX believed that quitting is analogous to reincarnating. He denied the appeal and rest his case, making his decision final and executory. So ordered.

Loco
Friday, June 13, 2008,10:13 PM

So here I am, dead tired with my brain still loco figuring out how to digest and dissect our case assignments for Stat Con and thinking about the pile of books on Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and other Laws that I was required to read and comprehend.

I didn’t expect that my first week in law school would be this stressful. I know this rant is a bit premature but the past week really gave me a good (or bad) glimpse of how exhausting my current schedule is. Until the end of October, I need to stretch my time working in the day and attending classes in the evening from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. I at first thought that this decision would just be a piece of cake but I was wrong.

Hopefully things will get better as I fine-tune with my new environment, new professors, new blockmates, new books, new everything. So help me God. Wish me luck!

BC

I’ve been busy and slightly lethargic these past few weeks, I don’t really have time to blog about significant and mundane stuff. So what’s keeping me busy? Career, literally and figuratively.

>>>

Last week, I did some advanced work to compensate for the two days I’d be out for our company summer get-together. Working routinely for 12 straight hours infront of a laptop while sitting on a couch was really arduous. Shet, those backaches and eyebags! Making matters worse, I feel like my hyperacidity is on its renaissance stage and there’s no one else to blame but my lack of discipline in eating.

I’m recently addicted to watch-movies.net, a site where you can watch free films online. So no more dvds for me (atleast for now) as I’m satisfied with the quality of films and range of genres being uploaded on this site. Internet piracy at its best! I love how this site gives the Hollywood film giants a run for their money. Read the site disclaimer below:

Watch-Movies.net is absolutly (sic) legal and contain (sic) only links to other sites on the Internet : (rapidshare.com, megaupload.com, megashare(s), mega, dailymotion.com, myspace.com, ouou.com, stage6.com, tudou.com, veoh.com, youku.com, youtube.com and others.. ) We do not host or upload any video, films, media files ( avi, mov, flv, mpg, mpeg, divx, dvd rip, mp3, mp4, torrent, ipod, psp ), watch-movies.net is not responsible for the accuracy, compliance, copyright, legality, decency, or any other aspect of the content of other linked sites. If you have any legal issues please contact appropriate media file owners / hosters.

Haha!

I got an invite from Gic to a Fashion Week event titled “New Generation Collection” at SMX Covention Center last Tuesday. The event featured some of the works of young and talented Filipino designers namely Alodia Cecilia, Anna Leah Salvador, Ciege Cagalawan, Dax Bayani, Gerswin Qua, Gionna Cabrera, Gretchen Pichay, Lizanne Cua, Marc Rancy, Nikki Sonico, Patrick Galang and Prisara Morales.

I’m a fashion idiot so I won’t dare to critique their designs or talk about how superficial and elitist the Philippine fashion industry is. My only remark is on the type of collection that was showcased on the runway. Spring-summer collection? Duh. The Philippines has only two seasons – dry and wet. LOL.

Last May 29-31, I traveled to Puerto Galera with workmates and stayed in Valley of Peace (VOP), a retreat complex located on a mountainside about fifteen minutes away from White Beach. We went island hopping, snorkeling and swimming. Team building activities were also arranged by our beloved organizers.

>>>

Went haywire yesterday when I found out that I passed the San Beda Law Entrance Examination. Oh no! Am I really ready? Tomorrow is enrollment day. Start of classes is on June 9. Time is ticking out…
